Hazardous Substances
Pulp bleaching must be achieved through either elemental chlorine free (ECF) or total chlorine free (TCF) methods. No chemicals that are considered to be dangerous are to be used in the manufacture of FXA products including:
- Asbestos
- Benzene
- Ozone Depleting Substances
- Polybrominated biphenyl
- Polybrominated diphenyl ether
- Polybrominated biphenyl oxide
- Polychlorinated terphenyl
- Polychlorinated biphenyl
- Polybrominated naphthalene
- 1,1,2-Trichloroethane
